The first thing I did after finding two partners was research. That way I'll be able to find out what was the perfect thing to build. I was hoping to find something doable, as well as being a challenge. At the end, my group and I thought it was good to build a solar powered radio, with maybe some other functions. Since this is probably something that has already been built, the focus on our project is learning the physics and mechanics behind building this electronic toy.
I am expecting this to be a fun and challenging project. We don't really have an definite outline of what our final product would be, so it is possible that we make changes in the way because right now we are still not too sure about the level of difficulty of building the machine. I've always wanted to do this, and I don't think the level of difficulty would change how excited I feel about this project.
At the moment, we have a list of possible mentors, but have not decided on one yet. Hopefully we will pick one by next week and have a conversation with him/her.
